"Empire of Honour is a very fine book. It is a delight to read and opens up for exploration subtle aspects of the exercise of power in the Roman empire."--Hans Van Wees, University College London. I have been a W.E.B. Griffin fan for years but after reading the Honor Bound Series and the ones co-authored with his son I find the writing to be inconsistent with the quality of previous books. I just finished book 7 of the series and /5().

The book has a solid and exciting concusion while clearly not finishing the whole story. Wounds of Honour introduces the reader to life on Hadrian's Wall in an era of troubles, to the auxiliary units that serve there and, in particular, to the First Tungrian cohort, who will become central to the series/5().

Empire and Honor is a new genre of Action & Adventure for my book reviews but not an unfamiliar plot. This is the seventh book in the Honor Bound series but I didn't have any problem understanding the story. The book is about a few men trying to stop the Nazis, who are trying to flee to Argentina, from selling nuclear materials to the Russians/5.

The eighth book in the Empire sequence takes Centurion Marcus Aquila and his Tungrian legion on a dangerous mission to the heart of the Parthian empire.

With Rome no longer safe Marcus and the Tungrians are ordered east, to the desolate border lands where Rome and Parthia have vied for supremacy for centuries. This is the first novel that David Weber brought out in the ‘Safehold’ line of books, an open-ended series of novels he first introduced in Concerning itself with the exploits with the war between humanity and the Gbaba, a genocidal race of aliens hellbent on destruction, it charts this conflict over the course of the books.

The Klingon Empire allows examinations of honor, duty and the dirty truths of politics in the Star Trek franchise in ways the good guy Federation rarely could. Butterworth IV (Griffin's son). The series takes place mostly in Argentina, but also deals with internal struggles within the Nazi Party as the war escalates.

Griffin based the events in the books partially on historical events, and relies heavily on his own. For those who believe that Christianity had a hand in the downfall of the empire, there are brief but tantalizing passages that might be used as fodder.
